Prohibited from Mailing according to Postal Conventions

  1. Articles or their packaging which may harm postal personnel or contaminate mails or postal materials.
  2. Articles with sharp fringes which may affect mail processing.
  3. Arms, ammunition, explosives, inflammables, corrosives, radioactive elements and receptacles, high explosives, narcotic, biochemical, infectious articles.
  4. Publications, advertisements, and printed products of a seditious and immoral nature
  5. Articles harmful to public health.
  6. Documents or articles prohibited from importation or circulation.
  7. In addition to the abovementioned requirements, relevant regulations of the Customs authority should be obeyed.

Articles Prohibited from Mailing in Taiwan

  1. Articles or their packaging which may harm postal personnel or contaminate mails or postal materials.
  2. Articles with sharp fringes which may affect mail processing.
  3. Inflammable, explosive or other hazardous articles.
  4. Live animals. Except bees, silkworms, leeches, parasites mailed between record-keeping organizations, or worms used to destroy injurious insects.
  5. Radioactive articles.
  6. Opium, morphine, and other narcotic drugs. Except transport permit granted by the authorities; or drugs used as lawsuit evidence and recorded by judicial authority and police agency, and mailed as insured or declared package; or mailed as insured parcel for medical or scientific research use and approved by the destination post offices.
  7. Documents or parcels of an obscene nature. Except mailed as registered letter or parcel and approved in written format by judicial or police agencies as lawsuit evidence.
  8. Documents or materials prohibited from importation into destinations.
  9. Documents and materials prohibited from sales and mafacuturing by Taiwan authorities. Except mailed as registered letter or parcel and approved in written format by judicial or police agencies as lawsuit evidence.
  10. Lottery and lottery-related advertisements. Except mailed as registered letter or parcel and approved in written format by judicial or police agencies as lawsuit evidence.
  11. Articles prohibited by other laws.
